Default PvE (Possible PvP) Powerful Tanker/Spiker? [[[Mo/D]]]

Alright. The other day i was fighting in RA. I came upon a Mo/D who was able to tank everyone on our team. I haven't yet entered the fight. Everyone else on his team were dead. We had no mesmers or any skills that were able to strip him of his enchanments. He was able to kill everyone except me. Finally i went in there with my sin and horns of the ox + shoved to continuously cancel his spell casting and was able to beat him. I studied his build and it seemed quite formidable next to the 55 hp monk. So this is what i saw from some of his skills and some of my own added.

-=Mo/D=-

Blessed Signet 2cast 10recharge
Signet. For each enchantment you are maintaining, you gain 3 energy, maximum 3...20.

Mending -1energy regen 10energy 2recharge
Enchantment Spell. While you maintain this "Enchantment", target ally gains Health regeneration of +1...3.

Protective Spirit 10energy ¼cast 5recharge
Enchantment Spell. For 5...19 seconds, target ally cannot lose more than 10% max Health due to damage from a single attack or Spell.

Dusk Cloak 10energy ¾cast 15recharge
Enchantment Spell. All adjacent foes are struck for 20...68 earth damage. For 30 seconds, your attacks deal earth damage. When this Enchantment ends, all adjacent foes are Blinded for 1...4 seconds.

Staggering Force 10energy ¾cast 12recharge
Enchantment Spell. All adjacent foes are struck for 20...68 earth damage. For 30 seconds, your attacks deal earth damage. When this Enchantment ends, all adjacent foes are Weakened for 5...13 seconds.

Mirage Cloak 15energy ¼cast
Enchantment Spell. For 10 seconds, you have a 50% chance to "evade" incoming attacks. When this Enchantment ends, all nearby foes are struck for 15...63 earth damage.

Mystic Regeneration 10energy ¼cast 5recharge
Enchantment Spell. For 20 seconds, you have +1...3 Health regeneration for each Enchantment on you.

Mystic Sandstorm 10energy ¾cast 8recharge
Spell. Lose all Enchantments. For each Enchantment removed in this way, all nearby foes are struck for 10...30 earth damage (maximum 130 damage).

Energy Cost Total: 75
Cast Time Total: 5
Recharge Time Total: 47

-=Attributes=-

Earth Prayers
12 (or more)

Protection Prayers
7 (or more--just to make the protective spirit last about 10secs+)

Healing Prayers
Rest of the Points (to give mending a good amount of regen [1-3])

-=Equipment=-

Armor that gives you a good amount of energy i suppose. You don't really need a scythe b/c you aren't going to be meleeing in any situation, so a good staff.

-=Usage=-

Basically, start off by casting Mending. Wait for an enemy to come to you. As you see him/her running to you to attack, activate protective spirit. After or before his first attack, activate Dusk Cloak, Staggering Force, and then Mirage Cloak. After this chain of attacks, you should deal about a good 136 damage. Right after this, if he/she is still alone and your health seems to be in bad shape, activate mystic regeneration (+15 regen + mending's regen) and then blessed signet to recharge your energy and put yourself in a very powerful healing position, otherwise activate mystic sandstorm. If you're health is in a good state, activate Mystic Sandstorm to unleash 193 damage, blind, and weakness. That sums up to a total of 329 earth damage, blind, and weakness. After dealing that damage, reactivate mending > protective spirit > dusk cloak > staggering force > mirage cloak > mystic regeneration > blessed signet and repeat the cycle with mystic sandstorm with the finale. Remember that mirage cloak has the lowest amount of time and same with protective spirit (possibly depending on how many points you put into protection prayers) so there's going to be a lot of good timing involved. That's the reason why i've chosen mirage cloak to be activated last. With a 50% evade chance, you'll be able to stand up against some melee. If you're unsure of whether or not to activate mystic sandstorm and strip yourself of all enchantments, just continue to recast enchantments when they deplete in time. In this way, you'll still deal earth damage/weakness/blind.

-=Counters=-

Obviously skills that will disrupt your skill casting or strip you of enchants. This build isn't effective against kiters, but that doesn't matter if you're the last one standing since one of yall are going to have to attack.

-=Notes=-

I haven't tested the build yet so i have no idea how to make a good variation of skills/attribute points/etc to make it at the top of its build, but i will be able to test it soon once im out of school. Second of all, i have never tried playing with monks, but this build has interested me and once again, i will experiment and test when i get home. I'm not quite sure what equipment to use either.

Any feedback would be great on how to improve.

EDIT: I also don't have an elite skill yet. I thought of this build in a 10-15minute interval so i still need to do my research

Ahh now I remember the cause of my misanthropy.

It was caused by people thinking that Mystic Regeneration and *MENDING* worked in perfect harmony!

And seriously, Mending is a total waste when MR would give you the same regen by the addition of any other enchantment.

Protective Spirit + Mending = Invicimonk!

Oh, wait, you don't have 55hp.

Can we get a lock on this thread? It's beyond useless. Oh, I almost forgot. To the OP: non-55/SB/SoA monks can't tank, period.

Hopefully you added blessed sig and mending. Maybe i could understand PS as a decent defensive cover enchantment. However Mending and blessed is a waste of space.

I personally think perhaps tossing, I believe Grenth's Fingers (Dervish), because it causes crippling, and then dropping Symbol of Wrath.

Anything besides mending and blessed is better..
